Red Deer RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in investigating a potential dog theft.

A six-month-old blue heeler-Lab cross named Hope is believed to have been stolen from her owner’s yard on Wednesday afternoon.

Hope went missing shortly after 4 p.m. after being secured in her back yard in the Michener Hill neighbourhood. She is microchipped and wears a tag with her name and her owner’s phone number.

Hope is black and white with grey on her face; she knows her name and will come when called.

If you have found this dog, take her to the SPCA and they will be able to use her microchip to reunite her with her owners.
