Maskwacis and Wetaskiwin RCMP are seeking public assistance after a shooting has left a man injured.
Police were informed on Wednesday at 5 a.m. that a man with a gun-shot wound was dropped off at a local area hospital. The man was transported to an Edmonton hospital via STARS and is in stable, but critical condition.
Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and Wetaskiwin RCMP GIS began conducting an investigation that led police to a rural area of the Ermineskin Cree Nation.
At this time the investigation is still ongoing, and police are requesting the public’s assistance to come forward with any information they may know about the shooting that could assist investigators.
