Early Friday morning, Red Deer RCMP and Emergency Services attended a residence in the Mountview area, where a male was found suffering from serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The RCMP’s north major crimes unit was dispatched and has taken charge of the investigation. The Red Deer RCMP detachment and forensic identification services is assisting with the investigation.
The home where the event occurred, located on 40A Avenue, was blocked off with yellow tape throughout Friday.
