A man who allegedly pointed a rifle at a peace officer has turned himself in, say Rocky Mountain House RCMP.
Police said during a traffic stop near Cow Lake, just south of Rocky Mountain House, the man got out of his vehicle and retrieved a rifle from the back seat, before allegedly pointing it at the officer.
The man did not fire, but as the officer repositioned, the male drove away in an older model Jeep.
A 47-year old Rocky Mountain House man turned himself into the Rocky Mountain House RCMP Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation was continuing.
