RCMP recover over $100,000 in stolen property at rural Wetaskiwin residence

A Wetaskiwin man has been charged after a large collection of stolen vehicles were found in his possession.

A Wetaskiwin man has been charged after a large collection of stolen vehicles were found in his possession.

Police conducted a search on the property of a suspected chop shop on Sept. 17 and they discovered five stolen trucks, an enclosed trailer, an industrial generator unit, three dirt bikes, as well as other stolen property with an approximate value of over $100,000.

The 31-year-old man faces 11 counts of possession of stolen property. He will appear in Wetaskiwin provincial court on Oct. 12.
