RCMP recover stolen Dodge Ram 3500 from rural property near Wetaskiwin

A stolen truck and drugs were seized from a property in Wetaskiwin last week.

Police attended a rural property near Wetaskiwin on May 20 after it was believed that a vehicle stolen from the Ponoka Dodge dealership was located there.

After obtaining a warrant, police searched the property and recovered a stolen Dodge 3500 valued at over $82,000, as well as one litre of Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and materials related to trafficking controlled substances.

Darcy Netterfield, 41, who was on a release order for trafficking controlled substances out of Red Deer and had been arrested a few weeks prior to that for trafficking controlled substances in Wetaskiwin faces three new charges.

Netterfield was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Wetaskiwin on June 1.
