ST. ALBERT — A Mountie based in St. Albert, Alta., has been charged with assault.
RCMP say the case involves a constable and a civilian who was in custody at the RCMP detachment on Nov. 17, 2013.
Const. Chris Wilcox is charged with one count of assault and is to appear in St. Albert provincial court on Sept. 15.
Police say Wilcox will remain on active duty pending the outcome of the case.
He will also face an internal RCMP Code of Conduct investigation.
