Red Deer RCMP are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at a convenience store on Saturday.
Police received a report that a man with a handgun entered a Mac’s Convenience Store at 29th Avenue and 22nd Street and threatened staff before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash around 4:30 a.m.
The suspect headed east carrying a white plastic grocery bag with the cash.
RCMP and police dog services made sweeps of the area but did not find the suspect.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, 1.7 to 1.73 metres tall (five-foot-seven or five-foot-eight), 86 kg (190 pounds) in his mid-30s with dark hair.
He was wearing blue jeans and a black UnderArmour hoodie with a large logo on the chest.
