Wetaskiwin RCMP is seeking the public’s help in tracking down an armed robber in Millet.

Police said that about 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, a man wearing a red bandana and black Under Armour cap tried to enter the Mickey’s ‘N Minnie Liquor Store.

When the clerk asked him to remove the mask before entering, the man forced his way into the liquor store and pulled out what is believed to be a black revolver from inside his jacket.

The suspect pointed it at the clerk and demanded the money from the till. Once the suspect got the cash, he stole the clerk’s cellphone and fled on foot.

The police dog services unit was called in, but could not find the suspect.

RCMP believe there was another person walking with the robber. That person did not enter the store and was not involved, but likely has information about the identity of the thief.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s. He is about five foot 10, has a slim build and curly, dirty-blond hair.

He was wearing a black hoodie.
