Rimbey RCMP have released a description of a man who held up a liquor store Saturday night.

Police said they were called at about 8:30 p.m. to the Rimbey Liquor Store, which had just been robbed.

“One suspect entered the liquor store, pointed what is believed to be a handgun and made off with cash in a bag,” said RCMP. “The suspect also took a box containing funds for a charity.”

The culprit fled on foot and no vehicle was seen.

Police said the clerk working at the time of the incident was not injured.

The suspect is described as five foot 10 with dark skin and brown eyes. He was wearing a dark hoodie, grey pants and white gloves and was carrying a green and grey bag.

Police are trying to determine if the same suspect was involved in a suspicious incident earlier in the day. A man walked into a residence uninvited and then left without incident when confronted by the homeowner.
