Red Deer RCMP have released descriptions of two men believed to have assaulted a man nearly one month ago.

Police say the assault happened near the Clearview Community Hall on Cornett Drive on Nov. 1.

A Red Deer man was walking from a Halloween party at 5 a.m. when he exchanged words with the driver of a black truck.

The driver of the truck then left the vehicle and hit the man on the head with what is believed to be a hammer. A male passenger also got out and assaulted the man. A female passenger remained in the truck.

The driver is described as a Caucasian man with short black hair. He is about 23 years old, and wearing a black hoodie and a black hat.

The male passenger was a black man with lighter skin with his hair in an afro. He was wearing a black hoodie.

The woman was described as a heavy-set redhead weighing an estimated 82 kg (180 pounds).

The black pickup is believed to be a Toyota, possibly a Tacoma.

Police say the victim was wearing a distinctive Halloween costume at the time, but they have not disclosed the costume.
