RCMP are looking for a break-and-enter suspect who wounded a homeowner with a knife at the victim’s east central Alberta home on Monday morning.
Police said they were called about 8:10 a.m. Monday after a break-in at a home on Range Road 235 in Kneehill County.
“When the homeowner confronted the suspect, the suspect held a small knife to the homeowner and fled,” said police in a news release. “The homeowner received a minor cut as a result of the confrontation.”
About 9:50 a.m. Stettler RCMP got a report of a break-in at a home off Highway 56 in County of Stettler.
The homeowner saw a suspect breaking into their home through a video surveillance cameras. The culprit stole items from the homeowner’s garage and fled.
Police believe the same suspect was involved in both incidents.
The suspect is described as male with a fair or medium complexion and grey hair. He is middle-aged, possibly in his 40s, and was wearing a blue puffer jacket.
He was driving a red older model single-cab pickup.
