Red Deer RCMP request public assistance to help locate a 13-year-old Aboriginal girl who has been missing for nine days.

Nakayo Poucette was last seen walking south from the Collicutt Centre in south east Red Deer at 7 p.m. on June 14.

Police believe she may be trying to travel to Morley, Alberta; but police checks throughout Red Deer, Cochrane and Morley have not located the girl.

Poucette is described at 1.6 metres tall (5 feet, 4 inches), 59 kg (130 pounds); with brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, black pants and blue shoes.
