RDC wants award nominations

Red Deer College is looking for a few good people to reward.The college is seeking nominations for three awards to be presented at the annual convocation ceremony on June 4 at the Capri Centre Hotel, says Elaine Vandale, director of the G.H. Dawe Award.

The college is seeking nominations for three awards to be presented at the annual convocation ceremony on June 4 at the Capri Centre Hotel, says Elaine Vandale, director of the G.H. Dawe Award.

The college is also looking for nominations for the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year and the Alumni Legacy Awards.

Deadline for nominations is April 23.

The Dawe award recognizes a person who is committed to the community, education and student success.

The nominees should demonstrate prominent leadership in the community and have a personal warmth and generosity coupled with high integrity and ethical standards.

They must also have a keen vision and appreciation for the college.

Nominations should be forwarded to Joel Ward, president of the college at P.O. Box 5005, Red Deer, T4N 5H5.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award honours people who have achieved professional, academic and public service achievement.

The Alumni Legacy Award is designed to provide posthumous recognition for an individual college alumnus’s contribution to the community.
