Cutting-edge technology in renewable, alternative and traditional energy will be showcased at the upcoming Energy Innovation Fair at Red Deer Polytechnic.
The Oct. 21 event builds on a successful 2019 Renewable Energy Fair hosted by ReThink Red Deer, which is co-hosting this event with RDP and Lacombe County-based Sol Invictus Energy Services, a residential energy solutions provider.
The free event is open to the public, industry experts, entrepreneurs, investors, municipalities and community groups to explore and promote sustainable and clean energy solutions.
“Our goal is to create a platform that fosters dialogue, education and collaboration among stakeholders and to provide a showcase for emergency technologies in the field,” says Sol Invictus.
Panel discussions will feature industry leaders who will share their perspectives on energy diversification in Alberta and highlight the latest trends and opportunities in the clean energy sector.
Workshops will provide opportunities to learn advancements and trends in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, carbon capture, battery technology, building science and electric vehicles.
A number of companies will showcase and demonstrate the cutting-edge solutions that are shaping the energy landscape at two dozen exhibitor booths. Electric vehicles and bikes from multiple dealers and brands will offer a glimpse into the future of eco-friendly transportation through all-day demonstrations.
The first panel discussion will explore what energy diversification means for local governments, municipalities, community members, oil and gas industry, educators and the public. A second panel discussion will pick up on that theme by examining the opportunities stemming from energy diversification and the ways in which communities are adapting to support sustainable initiatives.
Workshops will give people an opportunity to learn about everything from cold climate heat pumps and solar energy to net zero living and lithium battery technology.
