The Canadian Cancer Society is urgently looking for volunteers for its 2022 Relay for Life.
In an email, the CCS said they’ve had difficulty in the past recruiting volunteers in Red Deer and run the risk of the event not taking place if they can’t find enough volunteers.
“We are looking for people who can spend a few hours a month and who have the skill and connections to help us make Relay for Life a success for everyone in Red Deer,” the organization said.
Next year will mark a return to in-person events for the organization and the funds amassed during relay help fund the most promising cancer research, provide a support system for all those affected by cancer, and shape health policies to prevent cancer and support those living with the disease.
