The City of Red Deer will honour outstanding efforts in heritage preservation, education and awareness.
Nominations are now being accepted for the Red Deer Heritage Recognition Awards, which have been presented every two years since 2002.
There are four award categories:
- Built and natural heritage conservation, protection and preservation
- Heritage advocacy, education and awareness
- Youth advocacy, awareness and support for heritage
- Lifetime achievement aware
The deadline for nominations is 3 p.m. July 20 and the awards will be held Nov. 2.
