Red Deer adds more fitness options as facilities gradually reopen

The City of Red Deer is opening up additional recreation activities.

The City of Red Deer is opening up additional recreation activities.

Starting Wednesday, households can now start booking specific amenities at city facilities. Available amenities include dry space (field house, gymnasium and indoor soccer spaces), pool (Michener Aquatic Centre dive tank, lane pool and warm pool), and ice time at various city arenas.

Households can book up to seven days in advance, with the first bookings available on Monday.

The walking track at Servus Arena is also available for booking and users must wear a mask at all times, as well as ensure activity remains low intensity.

The city is also offering a monthly virtual fitness pass, available for $25 per month or $5 per class. They have more than 30 classes available and they can be booked at reddeer.ca/virtualfitness.

In a press release, the city also says they are working to a gradual return to services, with additional activities targeted as early as March 29.
