In the most recent Red Deer Advocate online poll, readers are overwhelming concerned about harassing and bullying online threats.

The poll, which ran from March 7 to 14 on the Advocate’s website showed that 69.12 per cent of readers were very concerned about social media bullying and harassment. An additional 5.88 per cent of readers said they were a little concerned.

A total of 68 votes were cast over the weeklong period.

Though a combined 66 per cent of readers had at least some concern about social media bullying and harassment, 20.59 per cent of readers said they were more concerned about real life threats and not worried about ones that originate from social media.

The remaining 4.41 per cent of readers voted for “do people still use social media.”
