RCMP are warning the Red Deer public about a high risk sex offender who has a lengthy history of committing sexual offences against young girls.

James Daryle Hill, 54, was released a few weeks ago from a provincial jail after serving four months in jail on three convictions.

The sentence was satisfied by time served, when he appeared in Red Deer provincial court in mid-October.

Hill pleaded guilty to single charges of committing an indecent act and mischief.

Those were the latest convictions in a long string of indecent exposures. The latest occurred on June 22 at Bower Place Shopping Centre.

Hill was in jail for 111 days following his arrest.

Cpl. Kathe DeHeer of Red Deer city RCMP said Friday the police released the warning in the interest of public safety.

“This individual represents a significant risk to sexually offend against young females and poses a considerable threat in the community,” DeHeer said.

Hill is a Caucasian standing 1.67 metres (five feet, five inches) tall and weighing 66 kg (145pounds). He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Police said Hill is living in Red Deer.

He must abide by several conditions including not attending any place where young kids less than 14 years of age could be expected to be found.

He can’t use a computer to communicate with any person less than 14 years and can’t seek work or volunteer in a position that could bring him near young people.
