Red Deer building permits up in November

Building permits and permit value increased in November, says the City of Red Deer.

In a release Monday, the city said that in November 2020, 78 permits were issued, compared with 62 in November 2019. Building permit value is up nearly $130 million year over year. It was $114.7 million from January to November 2019 to $254.7 million during the same period in 2020.

The biggest permit is for the new Justice Centre at 4810 48 Avenue, valued at $129.71 million. In total, 47 residential building permits were issued, 21 commercial, six for public service and four were industrial.
