Red Deerians will get a chance to mourn the lives lost in an Easter bombing attack in Sri Lanka.

A candlelight vigil will be held at Red Deer City Hall on Thursday at 8 p.m. to remember the hundreds of people who were killed Sunday.

The death toll rose Wednesday to 359, with 500 people wounded. A police spokesman said 18 suspects were arrested overnight, raising the total number detained to 58.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but authorities remain unsure of their involvement, though many suspect experienced foreign militants were advising, funding or guiding the attackers.
