Red Deer Catholic Schools will host Blue and Yellow Day to pray for Ukraine this Wednesday.
Pope Francis declared March 2 as a Day of Prayer for fasting and peace, as he urged the faithful to pray for peace in Ukraine, which was invaded by Russia this past week.
“Our message to the people of Ukraine is that you are not alone,” said Kim Pasula, RDCRS board chair.
“We stand with you. Through prayer, we find strength in numbers. Now is a time for us to come together as a Division, and as a community, and pray for those impacted by the invasion and for peace.”
