The Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce will host a provincial election forum at Red Deer Polytechnic next week.

Local candidates running in the election will have the opportunity to speak during the event at the RDP Arts Centre’s Main Stage on Wednesday, May 10 from 5-7 p.m.

“We are pleased to host the 2023 Provincial Election Forum for Red Deer candidates,” said Scott Robinson, Chamber CEO.

“Our objective is to ensure that the community can hear directly from candidates on their vision in this election which is crucial to our business community. We look forward to having an engaged conversation about the issues facing Red Deerians and the future of our city.”

Candidates from all political parties running in the Red Deer-North and Red Deer-South ridings have been invited to participate in this election forum.

Attendees can submit any questions they may have for candidates ahead of the forum by emailing info@reddeerchamber.com. Questions that are posed in advance will be selected by forum organizers and shared with candidates at the forum to encourage discussion.

The 2023 Provincial Election Forum is sponsored by Alberta Municipalities. Alberta’s provincial election is scheduled for Monday, May 29.
