Red Deer charities offer Christmastime meals

Free cab rides offered to Salvation Army on Christmas day

Several Red Deer charities are hosting free holiday meals for people in need.

The Line of Hope at Potter’s Kitchen will be serving up a seasonal dinner from 4:45 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4935-51st St.

The Mustard Seed will host festive meals throughout the week: from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, Thursday, Dec. 22, and Saturday, Dec. 24 at 6002-54th Ave.

The Mustard Seed will also host Christmas dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25 at the same location.

The Salvation Army will serve a Christmas Day lunch from 1 p.m. at 4837-54th St. Associate Cabs is offering free transportation to the Salvation Army lunch for those needing a ride. Please call 403-343-3700.

The charity will also deliver a Christmas Day meal to shut-ins. Please call 403-346-2251 by Dec. 21 to arrange.
