Red Deer Christmas Bureau and Red Deer Food Bank received $2,500 from a Red Deer business this holiday season.
CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South made their annual contribution this year on Nov. 30.
“We know everyone is facing new challenges this year, putting a strain on every aspect of our community,” says Darryl Hemstreet, owner, CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South. “Locals supporting locals is key in times like this and we are more than willing to continue our annual tradition this year, as we know it counts now, more than ever before.”
The Red Deer Christmas Bureau and Red Deer Food Bank both work to help those in the Red Deer and surrounding area during times of need. The vision of the Red Deer Christmas Bureau is to ensure that every child receives a toy on Christmas morning and to help all those in need enjoy a hearty meal on Christmas day. The Red Deer Food Bank, established in 1984, provides emergency food requirements for those in need for Red Deer and the surrounding area.
“Our whole team at both Red Deer locations play a big part in making these donations possible,” continues Hemstreet. “We are thrilled to have surpassed $30,000 in funds raised since we started this tradition in 2004 and we plan to continue our contributions in the years to come.”
