Red Deer City Hall will be flooded with blue light on Monday night in honour of World Water Day.

This international United Nations-designated event is held each year on March 22. This year’s focus is on valuing water on a personal scale.

Red Deerians are being asked to reflect on: How important is water to your home, family, livelihood, culture, well-being and environment?

“Let’s celebrate all the ways water benefits our lives and safeguard it for generations to come. Visit www.worldwaterday.org to learn more about World Water Day and how you can help,” states a City of Red Deer release.
