Red Deer College a top Hockey campus

Expedia Canada ranks hockey campuses

Expedia Canada has recognized Red Deer College as one of the 12 best hockey campuses to visit in the country.

RDC was the only college among the universities Expedia listed based on championships big and small, nearby sports bars and nightlife, fans based on social media followers, and loveliest campuses.

RDC was commended for its women’s hockey team that has won bronze, silver and gold at the Alberta College Athletic Conference (ACAC) Championships in the last five years. Red Deer also earned a mention for its bars to toast hockey wins.

Other contenders were the University of Alberta; University of British Columbia; University of New Brunswick; McGill University in Montreal, Que.; University of Guelph in Guelph, Ont.; Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ont.; Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont.; St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, N.S.; Concordia University in Montreal, Que.; Western University of Canada in London, Ont.; and Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, N.S.
