Red Deer College Motion Picture Arts students set to showcase work

A collection of 10 films crafted by Red Deer College’s student actors, directors, cinematographers and filmmakers will be showcased in this year’s Film Works.

With two viewing dates, Friday and Saturday, Film Works 2017 is a showcase of RDC’s Motion Picture Arts students.

The 10 films, which run about 90 minutes combined, include Close Call directed by Rina Pelletier; Starbelshe Experience produced by Michael Kingley; The Call produced by Brock Beal; Touch produced and directed by David Daniel Kohl; You Shouldn’t Have by Pelletier; The Guardians by Beal; You & Me produced, written and directed by Hannah Sanson; Love Loss produced by Warren Stephens and Missing Piece produced written and directed by Robyn Jeffrey.

Doors open to both showings at 6:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. showtime at the Welikoklad Event Centre, 4922 49th St. Admission is by donation and the event does have mature content and language.
