Red Deer County firefighting equipment stolen from Springbrook station

Red Deer County is seeking the public’s assistance in locating stolen equipment.

Thefts from county Fire Station No. 4 in Springbrook happened sometime overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

An enclosed cargo trailer was stolen, containing equipment needed to protect structures from wildfires.

While the cargo trailer was recovered west of Innisfail, some equipment is still missing, including: high-pressure water pumps and a generator.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone who sees the missing equipment for sale under suspicious circumstances or has information about this theft, is asked to please call the Blackfalds RCMP at 403-885-3300 or call your local police detachment.
