Red Deer County has about $30,000 available for those with Canada Day celebration ideas.
A number of people had approached the county for funding help with Canada Day celebrations, but until Tuesday there had not been any money set aside.
Council approved creating a fund for groups and organizations to help with their projects. Grants are limited to $1,000.
Those interested in applying for money should contact the county at www.rdcounty.ca.
