Pop-up spray park events will be held in Gasoline Alley-Liberty Landing playground, Springbrook and Spruce View this summer.
The family fun events are part of Red Deer County’s free-of-charge summer recreational programs and is sponsored by EPCOR with a free barbeque included.
“We are excited to be offering our residents fun activities with the opportunity to explore and reconnect in their communities,” said community services manager Jo-Ann Symington, in a statement.
The Neighbourhood Concert Series is also back for its third season, in partnership with the Red Deer Arts Council.
The outdoor community-based concerts will be held at Red Deer County venues, with a barbeque and family activities starting at 5 p.m., and performances at 6 p.m.
Performances include:
• Him & Her, at Spruce View Community Hall, on July 14.
• Richard & Deborah Popovich, at Benalto Family Resource Centre, on July 28.
• Matt Blais, at Springbrook Mynarski Park, on August 25.
Back-up dates will be arranged for inclement weather.
