A 39-year-old Red Deer County man is facing numerous charges after being arrested at an Innisfail motel.
RCMP received a complaint about a “highly intoxicated” man at the Super 8 Motel in Innisfail around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
When officers arrived, the man was spotted inside the lounge area of the motel and was arrested.
The man was in possession of a key to a vehicle in the parking lot. Police determined the vehicle was stolen and numerous suspected stolen items, as well as weapons and illegal substances, were found following a search of the automobile.
The man is facing numerous charges, including five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of break-in tools.
He will appear in Red Deer provincial court Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
