Red Deer County man charged after allegedly threatening bar staff with gun

A 24-year-old Red Deer County man allegedly brought a gun to a bar in Innisfail and allegedly threatened staff, according to the RCMP.

A 24-year-old Red Deer County man allegedly brought a gun to a bar in Innisfail and allegedly threatened staff, according to the RCMP.

Police say that on Oct. 30, they received reports of a man uttering threats at a bar. An investigation revealed that after the man got into a fight at the bar, he returned with a gun and pointed it at staff and uttered threats. The following day, police executed a search warrant at his residence, where multiple firearms were seized.

He faces multiple charges including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, pointing a firearm.

The man is set to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Nov. 16.
