A Red Deer County man was arrested and charged for possession of a dangerous weapon in Innisfail.
Innisfail RCMP were called to 44 Street where two men were reportedly trying car door handles and breaking into vehicles Thursday around 2 a.m.
When police arrived, they spotted two men matching the description given by the resident who called in the complaint.
One of the men was carrying a backpack and when questioned by police gave a false name.
After an investigation, the 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, obstruction and breach of recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court April 13.
