Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce has launched the new shop local campaign #LoveLocalRD.
But the chamber said it’s much more than just shopping.
“This is a movement to connect with your friends, family, and neighbours, while restoring our local pride and encouraging us to think bigger about the impact we can make with every dollar,” said the chamber in a statement.
“It’s as much about people as it is about business. In a city known for entrepreneurship, this means highlighting stories of those who help our community succeed – consumers included.”
Throughout the 2021 holiday season, connections will be encouraged with contests, spotlights and other exciting features all over the city.
The official launch of #LoveLocalRD is set for Sept. 28th at 4 pm, just prior to Business After Hours, where free #LoveLocalRD business kits will be available.
The launch will be held at the entrance to Business After Hours, on 49th Street in “District 50 Alley” behind the Welikoklad Event Centre.
