Red Deer’s strEats franchise has made a website’s top-30 new restaurants in Canada list.
The franchise is located at 6791 Gaetz Ave. and was the seventh to open in Alberta. The chain specializes in tacos, burritos, poutine and bowls and is featured in a top-30 list by complex.ca.
StrEATS has 15 locations in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba and Ontario and eight more are expected to open in 2022.
“Here at strEATS we have realized that our target demographic doesn’t want to spend time at brightly lit, cold, sterile corporate restaurant, they would rather find an amazing atmosphere, with great food that they can sit down and hang out over some cold beers with their friends.”says strEATS regional manager Michael Klassen in a statement.
Other Alberta eateries making the list include: Meat The Bun and Bro’Kin Yolk, both in Edmonton, and Calgary’s Sunday Pie, Porch, Major Tom and JinBar.
