You can now head onto Red Deer sports fields, diamonds and courts as long as you don’t wear cleats.
On Thursday the city announced its fields are open, but due to the moisture still in some fields people are asked to not wear cleats until after Monday.
With the extra moisture, grass turf can be easily damaged by cleats and city staff are still performing spring maintenance on the fields.
