Red Deer RCMP are trying to identify a man who robbed north-end gas station at knifepoint early Thursday.

Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify the man who robbed a north end gas station at knifepoint at approximately 12:30 am on June 8.

Police said in a statement that the suspect entered the Running on Empty store at about 12:30 a.m., located at 7110 50 Ave., then produced a knife, demanding cash. No one was injured in the robbery and the suspect was seen running toward 75th Street.

Police Dog Services attended but were not able to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, early 20s, shaved head with dark stubble, blue eyes, wearing a black hoodie with “Hammer Down” on the back, and light-coloured plaid shorts and untied skater shoes.
