Many Red Deer high school students are getting ready for the Central Regional Skills Competition this week.
The competition will take place Thursday at Notre Dame High School and Saturday at Red Deer College, and will feature several competitions, including baking, hairstyling and electrical wiring.
The first place winner in the regional event will compete in the provincial competition on May 8 and 9.
