Red Deer Hospice is once again launching its annual Memorial Angel Campaign fundraiser.
In 2020, Hospice started the Memorial Angel Campaign Fundraiser, offering replicas of the ornaments for sale to the public.
“It’s a wonderful way to honour someone who has passed away, even if it wasn’t at Hospice,” said Red Deer Hospice’s Executive Director Jerri Taylor. “All funds go towards our mission of supporting a peaceful and compassionate end-of-life journey.”
The 24k gold-plated ornaments, accented with Swarovski crystal, are $25.00 each, with all proceeds raised from the campaign will go directly to resident comfort and care at Red Deer Hospice.
When a resident passes away, memorial angel ornaments are placed in the window of Hospice’s Sanctuary Room. At the end of each year, the angels are moved to the Hospice Christmas Tree by the Care Team in a private ceremony.
“It’s a chance for our staff to honour and share memories of the residents they cared for during their time at Hospice,” Taylor said.
