A Red Deer man wanted on nine arrest warrants and several thousand dollars in unpaid conviction fines will appear in court Thursday.

Russell Ens, 26, faces nine charges including two counts of drug trafficking and single charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon, possession of stolen property, failing to comply with a court order, failing to attend court, driving with no insurance and fighting in public.

Police said the charges resulted from alleged criminal offences in and around the City of Red Deer between 2005 and 2009.

Ens, who was arrested Friday in Saskatchewan, was transported to Red Deer on the weekend.

Police also said he has $12,000 in unpaid conviction fines.
