A Red Deer man injured in a crash Thursday has succumbed to his injuries.
Police have identified 47-year-old Mark Paul as the victim of a Thursday afternoon crash in the city’s southend.
At about 4:25 p.m., Paul’s vehicle was travelling east on 19th Street in a pickup truck and collided with an SUV that was travelling south on 40th Avenue. After the initial impact, another small SUV northbound on 40th Avenue was also hit.
Paul was taken to hospital but died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The female driver of the southbound SUV was tended to at the scene by Red Deer Emergency Services but not transported to hospital. The driver of the other SUV was taken to Red Deer hospital, treated and released.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
