Red Deer ministry holding fundraiser Friday

A Red Deer ministry that helps feed the city’s most vulnerable is asking the public for support.

The Potter’s Hand Ministry, which has been supplying up to 1,000 meals a week for individuals in need for the past 19 years, is hosting a fundraiser at the newly renovated Lotus building (4618 50th Ave.) in downtown Red Deer on Friday.

The event, which will feature 200 items for auction, live entertainment and refreshments, begins at 5 p.m.

Recently, the ministry’s main contributor and funder passed away.
