The City of Red Deer is warning motorists about some traffic disruptions this weekend.

Red Deer drivers are being advised that road paving crews will be working on multiple streets in the city.

Intermittent lane closures and traffic delays will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the following locations and days:

- On 52 Avenue and 39 Street, from 43 Street to 51 Avenue, on Saturday.

- Southbound on 30 Avenue, between Avery Street and 22 Street, on Sunday.

- And in both directions on 22 Street, from 30 Avenue to Lalor Drive, on Sunday. (This disruption could extend into Monday.)

Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes where possible and to slow down when driving in construction zones. They should obey all signs.

And pedestrians are reminded to cross only at designated crosswalks.

All road construction is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change. For information about road construction and closures visit www.reddeer.ca/roadclosures.
