Red Deer City RCMP have released the name of the man who died from gunshot wounds in Eastview on New Year’s Day.

Lloyd Robert Sarson, 25, of no fixed address, was found in a vehicle in an alley of the 3700 block of Ross Street shortly after 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

RCMP say their investigation so far suggests the homicide was not a random act.

Police were responding to a disturbance complaint when they discovered the body.

No arrest has been made.

Police say more information will be released as the investigation unfolds.
