Red Deer police hope marijuana pipe holds clues on sex assault

A police investigation into an alleged sexual assault in Red Deer is still ongoing.

This photo of an elephant marijuana pipe was left at the scene by a male culprit. Police are asking the public to view this unique-looking pipe.

If anyone can identify the owner, or have any related information to share, they should call the Red Deer RCMP immediately at 403-343-5575.

On January 4, Red Deer City RCMP told Central Alberta media they were looking for a man suspected of sexual assault.

The alleged sexual assault against a female occurred on January 1 at about 5:15 a.m. in the downtown.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, mid-20s, light brown hair, wearing blue jeans and a black winter coat.

A sketch of the suspect has been released by police.
