Red Deer police seek suspect in armed robbery at southend bank

Red Deer Mounties are on the hunt for an armed bank robber who made off with a bag of loot from a southend Royal Bank of Canada location on Thursday night.

Red Deer Mounties are on the hunt for an armed bank robber who made off with a bag of loot from a southend Royal Bank of Canada location on Thursday night.

A man approached a female employee and then revealed a weapon. The female complied with his demand to hand over a bag of money. The man then took off, climbed into a waiting car and left.

Police say the woman wasn’t injured.

RCMP responded to the call shortly before 9:30 p.m. at the branch at Unit 100, 2610 Gaetz Ave.

The suspect is described as: non-white, about 25 years old with spiked hair and wearing a white hoodie, white sweater pants and white shoes. The getaway car was a newer model two-door sedan, black with tinted windows.
