There was a “police incident” on Hepworth Close Monday afternoon, said Red Deer RCMP.
Police sent out a release just after 4 p.m., asking Red Deerians to avoid the area. Additionally, people who lived nearby were asked to stay inside unless otherwise advised by police.
RCMP was also asking residents to not post photos of police on social media during this incident.
Just before 7 p.m., police said the incident had ended and people living in the area were able to leave their homes freely.
