An arrest warrant has been issued for a Red Deer man in relation to a homicide this past Wednesday.

Red Deer RCMP and the Major Crimes Unit are asking the public to help locate 25-year-old Dustin Mitchell (Coats).

He is described as Caucasian, six feet tall and 160 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos. His tattoos feature the word “still” under his right eye, the word “breathing” under his left eye and scroll writing on his neck.

Mitchell’s whereabouts are unknown and he is believed to be armed and dangerous. Police say anyone who sees him should not approach him, but should instead call 911.

Anyone with information on whereabouts is asked to call Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575 or their local police.

Police were called to a residence on Stewart Street in the Sunnybrook residence around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Upon investigation a “deceased adult” was located. The Major Crimes Unit was called in to take carriage of the investigation.

RCMP said this was believed to be an isolated incident and there are “no further public safety concerns.”
